Biblical Counseling
Our counseling approach is to follow Jesus' method which gently leads people to identify emotional pain and the spiritual problems connected to that pain.
Process of Healing
Counselees are encouraged to allow the counselor to help them bring the emotional pain to the Lord Jesus in prayer so he can uniquely heal their broken heart. Forgiveness and freedom await!
When I (Joyce) finished my master’s degree in Chaplaincy at Denver Seminary in 2016, I enjoyed working in Hospice as a chaplain, however, I knew God was calling me further. I was introduced to Restoration Ministries and was intrigued with the Biblical process which people were taken through to heal spiritual and emotional pain. After being trained by Roger Daum of Restoration Ministries, I felt God leading me into a Biblical Counseling ministry based in North Platte, NE. The North Platte Berean Church had space for an office in the Caring Center and I began seeing clients on July 15th, 2024.
God has continued to knock on the door of our hearts and spoke clearly as we broke ground in October 2025 to build a cabin for the purpose of having married couples and individuals come to our ranch to receive intense Biblical counseling to heal hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.
My Philosophy of counseling is that of
a shepherd. Growing up on a cattle
ranch, I knew that cattle had to be
driven. However, sheep can not be
driven, they must be led. Jesus as the
good Shepherd gives us perfect
examples in Scripture of how to lead
people into freedom from their
distresses. Jesus was sent to heal the
brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for
the captive and release from darkness
for the prisoner and to comfort those
who mourn.
Joyce grew up on a ranch near Ekalaka, Montana and soon discovered there was more to life than work! However, the country never goes out of the girl because she is happiest on the ranch. She spends her free-time using her battery powered chainsaw, building this cabin, talking to Tony Llama and reading/studying/praying/preparing...always preparing. Number 10 grandchild is due in June so lots of time spent with the grands!
Tracy grew up in Wanblee, SD ranching with his parents and siblings. He worked in Grain elevators for years until his lungs were permanently damaged. He currently manages Five Star Flooring and Design in Gothenburg, Columbus, Omaha and Lexington. His hobbies include doing Honey-do projects, managing the fruit trees in our greenhouse, whispering to sheep and Llama and entertaining and teaching grandchildren how to be mischievous! Known as Joyce's biggest cheerleader!
